Who We Are

Helping Hands is an international nonprofit that strives to level the playing field for Dalits through education in India. We work hand in hand with local organizations and communities to reach the most at risk and impoverished individuals in these areas. Through our sponsor a child program and House of Tavani shop, we give over 90% of money raised to support the economic development of the individuals we support.

Our Story

Founder of Helping Hands, Brian Warren, is a national and international game changing social entrepreneur. Fourteen years ago he founded Start2Finish, an organization committed to eradicating the effects of child poverty in Canada through education. Start2Finish is transforming the education landscape in Canada by equipping all Canadian children with the tools they need to succeed. Through education reform, child advocacy, groundbreaking programming, and research, he is creating a level playing field. After an eye-opening trip to India in 2011, Brian Warren saw the potential of extending this mission to level the playing field in India. With that vision, Helping Hands was born.

Who We Support

Dailts or untouchables are one of the most looked down upon individuals in Indian society. Helping Hands works with schools and churches in the south of India to give them the education and opportunities to live above the mark that has been placed upon them by birth. We believe that they are more than they have been labelled by their society. Your sponsorship of a child not only provides them with an education and resources but a better life.
